On November 22-23, the middle school basketball teams had a lock-in at Tok School. They put together the lock-in to celebrate the end of the season. The chaperones who attended the lock-in were Mr. Sue, Mr. Mel, and Coach Joni Young.
I interviewed some middle school basketball players, and two chaperones who went, in order to see what they did at the lock-in.
Science teacher Mr. Sue replied, “Babysitting! It was kind of fun and a bit challenging, too. While they were doing the gingerbread contest, I stayed in the gym because, you know, basketball is life. I mostly stayed in the gym but I left early at midnight.”
8th grader Tiana Albert said, “The lock-in was good. At first, we were playing hide and seek then we did people's makeup, and, yeah, that's kind of it. It sounds boring but it was really fun.”
7th grader Willow Garber replied, “The lock-in was fun, I guess. We played hide and seek in the dark and put water on people that fell asleep. We also played basketball and volleyball. We did a gingerbread house contest and Emma won it. that was fun and I stayed up all night so I didn't get any water on me.”
Seems like students and the chaperones had a mixed time at the school lock-in.
