The student of the month assembly and pep rally was on October 7th, 2024 at Tok School. The secondary student of the month was Kathryn Ames and the elementary student of the month was Lily Omta. At the pep rally two students from each grade played bump to gain interest in the upcoming middle school basketball tournament. Chrio Espinosa won bump.
I interviewed Kathryn Ames about the pep rally and the student of the month assembly. ”It was pretty cool; it meant I was pretty smart.“ She then explained why she thinks she won’t get it again. “Not this year, because no one gets it twice in a year.” Lastly, she told me her favorite part of the assembly. “Getting Student of the month, obviously!”
Next I interviewed Lily Omta. She expressed her thoughts on being the student of the month. “I'm proud of myself,” she noted. Then I asked her if she would get student of the month again.” I think I will!” Lastly, she explained her favorite part of the pep rally. “Probably when the principal pauses then calls the student of the month.”
To become student of the month you can get good grades, participate in school activities, show school spirit, show improvement in school, and get academic achievements. Many great students have gotten student of the month, and who knows - maybe next month it will be you!
