Tok wins Northway middle school tournament

From October 18th through 19th, there was a basketball tournament in Northway for the middle schoolers. There were three teams at the tournament - Minto, Northway, and Tok - and our school, Tok, won. The tournament was both for boys and girls and had both varsity and junior varsity tournaments. On varsity, both our boys' and girls' teams won.

The boys won all of their games, except for one of their games against Northway, and the girls won all of their games. Tok worked hard to win the tournament, and their success makes them excited for their next tournaments in Glennallen, Delta, and Valdez.

Most of the team enjoyed the trip. Willow Garber, on the girl's varsity team, said that the trip was fun and she was really happy when they won the tournament. Jocelyn said that she also enjoyed the trip and that she was glad that they won. The rest of the team agreed that the trip was fun and successful.

Tok’s girls team consists of Tiana Albert, Liahona Ames, Lorna Baker, Samantha Boulanger, Natasha Demit, Jocelyn Erickson, Willow Garber, Aubree Miller, Elizabeth Sam, Aryonne Sanford, Emma Talus, Olivia Young, and Kloe Write. Olivia is the team captain, Rylee Cramer is the manager, and Joni Young is the coach.

The boy's team has 15 team members: Andrew Adams, Aiden Albin, Benjamin Ames, Tanner Boucher, Noah Easton, Sawyer Fitting, Aidan Gross, Damien James, Tristan May, Zachery Omta, Drake Paul, Bear Rajala, Jedediah Rajala, Eric Stevens, and Wyatt Williams. Andrew is the team captain and Joni Young is the coach.

The tournament was a success, as not only did both varsity teams win, but all of the students seemed to have a good time. Now they are leaving for their next tournament in Glennallen. Hopefully, it will be successful again and they will have fun.
