Tok School is having parent-teacher conferences for this semester! Each semester of the school year, there is one parent-teacher conference, meaning there are two a year. It is on Wednesday, March 12th, 2025 for grades K-12 and the time is yet to be determined.
Parent-teacher conferences are opportunities for parents to discuss with their child's teachers about them and their current progress and overall success. Building strong relationships between the teachers and the parents of their students is important because teachers and parents need to understand their students/children. Hosting parent-teacher conferences is important for the parents of the students of Tok School to be fully informed about their child.
Ryan Becker, a middle school teacher, was interviewed about his opinions about the upcoming parent-teacher conferences. When he was asked what he enjoys about having parent-teacher conferences, he stated, “I enjoy talking to my student's parents and praising my kids to their parents. I enjoy talking to them about solutions to issues if there are any. I enjoy bragging about my kids if they deserve it! And they all do!!! Hahaha.” He then was asked why he believes parent-teacher conferences are important and he responded, “Because communication is important in all schools. If I am not able to talk with my student's parents, I am not able to praise or help the kids. Communication is very important in a big building and the conferences are important so we can discuss the progress, made and the progress to be made.”
